About Ed

My name is Ed.  I was born and raised in Elmhurst Township, Pennsylvania.  My first job was at the ice cream stand across the street from my house.  When I turned 16, I followed my sister and brother's footsteps and worked at the McDonalds in Dunmore.  Then I turned 18 and started at a large factory in Olyphant.  I worked the two jobs for a while and then left McDonalds.  I joined the Army in 95, and was honorably discharged after my scheduled enlistment.  Both McDonalds and the Army I mark as two of the best times of my life.  That sounds strange to a lot of people, but I made a lot of friends at Mickey D's and learned a lot in the Army.  I was a diesel mechanic in the Army, and it was a blast to work on Tanks, Hummers, and many other vehicles.  I knew that starting my career in photography would be the third, and I was right.  I have made many friends (clients) in the past years and look forward to meeting you.

I was always drawing when I was growing up; and after lots of practice I got pretty good at it.  I always liked writing also. I dabbled in poetry and writing a novel. None worth publishing, but I enjoy doing it.  I like mechanical drawing and drafting.  I took a class in graphic arts at Vo-Tech in the early 90’s. I love computer art and have many programs that we can use to enhance your photos. I tried my hand at oil painting, I wasn’t too bad at it, but it got to be more frustrating than relaxing.

In 2005 my friend Sandi got me interested in nature photography.  We took classes in the art of nature photography, and then turned our sights to portraits and now we have our own studio where I bring my artistic background to your session.
