About the Photographers:
We began nature photography as a hobby and it soon grew into
a passion. Candid portraits at sporting events and
gatherings helped us decide to take classes in photography
and from there it grew into a business. We don't want
it to just be a business, we want to continue having fun
taking photos and we hope you'll have fun too.
Our prior artistic experiences include sketching, painting,
graphic arts, mechanical drawing, home interior, wedding
cake designs, cosmetology and just all around arts and
crafts. We draw on all of these experiences to create
our portraits.
We have both received
editors picks for our work from Better Photos, where we have
taken numerous classes in photography. |

Sandi Korshnak

About Sandi:
Hi. My name is Sandra Korshnak, but
everyone calls me Sandi. I Live in Madisonville with my
family (husband, daughter, son, dog, cat and some fish).
My love for photography started
when I was young. I would go on vacation and come back
with 20 rolls of film for a week. After a trip to
Hawaii, a few years ago, I decided that I really wanted
to pursue the technical side of it. I wanted my pictures
to be better. I bought a better camera. It was a point
and shoot, but one that allowed me to control settings.
From there I took some classes, dragging my friend Ed
along with me to complete my lessons. Pretty soon he was
taking the classes too. I was soon upgrading my camera
and taking pictures of anything I could. I would take
hundreds of shots at my daughter’s soccer games. Those
FC America girls got pretty used to a camera shoved in
their faces while they played. After a game I would
upload all the pictures to their site so they could
replay the game.
It really makes no difference to me
what my subject is. Photography seems to relax me. I
suddenly have a lot of patience when I’m waiting for the
sun to come up, or a bee to land on a flower just right,
or a child to give me just the right smile. I love
working with the kids who come into our studio.
The next step was to ask myself if
this is something I would really want to do. I don’t
think I had to think that hard about it. October 2007,
we opened our doors. Getting out in the community
meeting everyone at all the charity events the past
summer was a lot of fun. My dream is to have a studio
somewhere, with a huge gallery in it. |

Edwin Davis

About Ed:
My name is Ed. I was born and
raised in Elmhurst Township, Pennsylvania. My
first job was at the ice cream stand across the street
from my house. When I turned 16 I followed my
brother's and sisters footsteps and worked at the
McDonalds in Dunmore. Then I turned 18 and started
at a large factory in Olyphant. I worked the two
jobs for a while and then left McDonalds. I joined
the army in 95 and was honorably discharged after my
scheduled enlistment. Both McDonalds and the Army
I mark as two of the best times of my life. That
sounds strange to a lot of people but I made a lot of
friends at Mickey D's and learned a lot in the Army.
I was a diesel mechanic in the Army and it was a blast
to work on Tanks, Hummers, and many other vehicles.
I knew that starting my career in photography would be
the third, and I was right. I have made many
friends (clients) in the past two years and look forward
to meeting you.
I was always drawing when I was
growing up; and after lots of practice I got pretty good
at it. I always liked writing also; and dabbled in
poetry and writing a novel. None worth publishing, but I
enjoy doing it. I like mechanical drawing and
drafting. I took a class in graphic arts at
Vo-Tech in the early 90’s. I love computer art and have
many programs that we can use to enhance your photos. I
tried my hand at oil painting, I wasn’t too bad at it,
but it got to be more frustrating than relaxing.
In 2005 my friend Sandi got me
interested in nature photography. We took classes
in the art of nature photography, and then turned our
sights to portraits and now we have our own studio where
I bring my artistic background to your session. |
